Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA

The Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA has been a community place for Ahwatukee since it opened in 1999 with a state of the art Child Development center. In 2002 it extended its facility 33,000 feet providing more room to its growing community.

It now holds child care rooms, a full basketball gym, swimming pool, locker rooms, family restrooms, and group exercise programs including silver sneakers class. It is home to the YMCA’s Outreach Programs for Ahwatukee Seniors (Y OPAS) to assist Ahwatukee seniors 62 years and older in staying independent and healthy at home.

In 2015 the Ahwatukee Y even provided free swimming lessons at apartment complexes with pools to promote drowning awareness in its community. The Ahwatukee Y is open to all and is proud to be part of the Valley of the Sun YMCA.
