This Health & Safety Institute ASHI and MEDIC First Aid Child and Babysitting (CABS) training program is designed primarily for pre-teens and teens between the ages of 11 and 15 who are planning to provide babysitting services for young children and infants. Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will achieve an American Safety & Health Institute CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. This course teaches lifesaving skills to use in an emergency. Digital pre-course work will be assigned to complete before the course.

The YMCA encourages our community to be involved in one of the most exciting and important processes for our country! On Tuesday, November 5, we are proud to offer FREE CHILD WATCH for members and non-members who wish to exercise their civic responsibility and vote in the 2024 election. Children of all ages are welcome, but must be potty trained.

The Float Test is a swimming competency test. It is conducted in deep water, with you wearing shorts
and a long-sleeved shirt in the water (over a suit is recommended). You will be asked to float, tread
water and/or swim in place for ten minutes—touching the bottom or sides of the pool is not allowed.

The Y is honored to host a community CPR awareness and educational event. Participants will receive CPR & AED skills for adults, children, and infants, as well as basic First Aid skills such as caring for bleeding & extreme allergic reactions. This is not a certification course, however, attendees will receive a voucher for an upcoming certification program.

The Y is here for our Community. We are inviting families who may not be able to afford a full Thanksgiving meal to apply for a chance to be selected. Since 2018, we have provided almost 1000 Thanksgiving Dinners to local families in need.
