This Health & Safety Institute ASHI and MEDIC First Aid Child and Babysitting (CABS) training program is designed primarily for pre-teens and teens between the ages of 11 and 15 who are planning to provide babysitting services for young children and infants. The program includes instruction on the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and guidelines on how to recognize and handle problems that may occur. This program is not designed to meet any regulatory requirements for child care providers. This training includes a certification in CPR/AED and First Aid for all ages: Adult, Child, and Infant.

The Float Test is a swimming competency test. It is conducted in deep water, with you wearing shorts
and a long-sleeved shirt in the water (over a suit is recommended). You will be asked to float, tread
water and/or swim in place for ten minutes—touching the bottom or sides of the pool is not allowed.

Bring at least 3 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies to share on Friday, December 13 at 11am. Bingo and fun to follow! (Bring a second container if you choose- to go plates will also be available)

The Y is honored to host a community CPR awareness and educational event. Participants will receive CPR & AED skills for adults, children, and infants, as well as basic First Aid skills such as caring for bleeding & extreme allergic reactions. This is not a certification course, however, attendees will receive a voucher for an upcoming certification program.

Adult Mental Health First Aid: learn how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over.  The training will help build mental health literacy and provide an action plan that teaches people to safely and responsibly identify and address a potential mental health or substance use challenge.

The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

The Y is here for our Community. We are inviting families who may not be able to afford a full Thanksgiving meal to apply for a chance to be selected. Since 2018, we have provided almost 1000 Thanksgiving Dinners to local families in need.
