This course is specifically for participants in the Arizona Cycling Association’s Leadership Summit on April 18th at 1pm. Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will achieve an American Safety & Health Institute CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. This course teaches lifesaving skills to use in an emergency. Digital pre-course work will be assigned to complete before the course.

This Health & Safety Institute ASHI and MEDIC First Aid Child and Babysitting (CABS) training program is designed primarily for pre-teens and teens between the ages of 11 and 15 who are planning to provide babysitting services for young children and infants. The program includes instruction on the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and guidelines on how to recognize and handle problems that may occur. This program is not designed to meet any regulatory requirements for child care providers. This training includes a certification in CPR/AED and First Aid for all ages: Adult, Child, and Infant.

This training includes 3-5 hours of online blended learning videos which will be a requirement for participants to complete in order to receive First Aid and CPR certifications. The instructor will email you the videos before the in-person class.

Each month we read a new book and meet to discuss it together! Our selections span a wide range of genres and topics to keep things fresh, and they’re always thoughtful, engaging, and discussion-worthy.

How to get the book: Copies are available to check out from the front desk up to one month prior to our meeting, and no later than one week before the meeting. Books are provided by the Maricopa County Library District.

During Women’s Final Four weekend, Eli Lilly and Company are proud to sponsor a free, fun, one-hour girls’ basketball clinic through Valley of the Sun YMCA.

This FREE clinic will serve grades 3-8 (ages 8-14) girls and feature hands-on instruction from Valley of the Sun YMCA basketball instructors, designed to inspire and empower young female athletes.

*Please Note: Due to NCAA age restrictions, this clinic is only open to 3rd – 8th graders

*(NO girls currently in high school grades 9-12 will be allowed to participate)

Program registration is limited to the first 25 athletes per grade group to help ensure the best possible experience for all participants. Once capacity is reached, registration will close. We kindly ask that you do not contact the YMCA to request an override, as these limits are in place to support quality instruction and a great experience for every athlete.

Join us for a fun, social space to play tabletop games, meet new people, and enjoy some friendly competition. Please register everyone who will be in attendance so we can prepare the correct amount of materials. Parent’s will need to accompany any children.
