This program engages children ages 3–5 in hands-on learning through themed classes like Ooey Gooey, Jr. Engineer, and Kids in the Kitchen, fostering early STEM skills, sensory exploration, and healthy habits to support school readiness and whole-child development

The YMCA’s Intro to Theatre class will teach the basic skills of stage presence, stage direction and projection. This will be to help prepare for a play at the end of the season. Theatre runs for 45-minutes and is for ages 5-12 years old. This class will be an introduction to the basics of acting for beginners and will showcase their unique talents.

Climbing Club is a Gross/Fine Motor experience for children ages 2 to 5 where children can be physical through structured play. Join our YMCA Staff through instructional activities on our Rock Climbing Wall, Ninja Gym, and Arts & Crafts! Program Participants can expect to do two separate activities per day in an effort to work on different gross motor and fine motor skills.

The YMCA’s Itty Bitty Sports Programs teach the basic skills of the sport through drills and practices with less emphasis on the game. We concentrate more on the fundamentals of the sport. Itty Bitty Sports run 45-minutes and are for ages 2-4 years old. Each participant is required to wear gym shoes and sports attire while equipment will be provided from the Y. Parent involvement with their child is required during class.

Join us at your local YMCA for our newest child friendly workout program! KidFit is a Physical Education program for children ages 8-12 (Grades 3-6). This program follows the SHAPE America National Standards of Physical Education to provide a holistic approach to Physical Education. Each month of the KidFit program will focus on a different SHAPE Standard and utilize different areas within the YMCA to provide a stimulating environment where the education is fresh, and skills can be developed through different approaches.
