Welcoming kids and adults of all ages and abilities, our program offers a clear progression track to monitor achievement while every lesson emphasizes personal safety around water.

What lesson level should I choose?

Program Components

Certified Y instructors foster a safe, educational, and FUN environment where swimmers feel empowered to meet and exceed their goals. Safe swimming saves lives.

Swim Basics (Stages 1-3)
Students learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by learning two benchmark skills:

* Swim, float, swim – sequencing front glide, roll, back float, and exit.

* Jump, push, turn, grab

Swim Strokes (Stages 4-6)
Having mastered the fundamentals, students learn additional water safety skills and build stroke technique, developing skills that prevent chronic disease, increase social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and foster a lifetime of physical activity.
