Ahwatukee Employee U
Ready, Set, Volunteer!
EMPLOYEE U UNIVERSITY AT THE AHWATUKEE Y
This flexible 6-week program is designed for Teens 12-18 to learn life and workforce readiness skills through lunch & learns and volunteer opportunities. Teens must be available a minimum of 10 hours per week and a maximum of 30 hours per week for volunteer hours.
Teens who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate, letter of recommendation and assistance in developing a resume.
Lunch & Learns on Wednesdays Noon – 1:00 pm
Please also note that registration is subject to change based on availability and group interviewing.

Leaders in Training
Designed as a Jr. version of our Employee-U program available to registered School Age Summer Camp participants age 10-12 to sign up for volunteer shifts alongside an older Employee-U mentor over the course of Summer.
Pre-teens will volunteer in various program areas at the YMCA, they will have less opportunities available however and will only be able to assist in age-appropriate areas. There is no availability requirements and they will not attend the Lunch & Learns that Employee-U will be participating in. They will be able to attend a CPR training and acquire a free certification.
